Horseshoe Canyon Ranch
Horseshoe Canyon Ranch, located in the Ozark Mountains near the Buffalo National River, is an adventure destination that offers a variety of activities. It has over 900 rock climbing routes and boulder problems, the longest zipline in Arkansas, and two Via Ferratas. There are also world-class mountain bike trail systems for mountain biking. You can also enjoy stargazing at night in this international dark sky area. The Trading Post has last-minute provisions, climbing gear, and apparel. See more here.
Trip Highlights
Rock Climbing
Horseshoe Canyon Ranch offers one of the best rock-climbing experiences in the United States. Over 900 climbing routes and boulder problems, spanning difficulty ranges from the beginner to elite climber. All nestled comfortably into the canyon with short approaches and almost immediate access to amenities. See more here.
Via Ferrata
A Via Ferrata is a protected climbing route that employs steel cables, rungs, or ladders, fixed to the rock to which the climbers affix a harness with two leashes, which allows the climbers to secure themselves to the metal fixture. In other words, it offers an exciting climbing experience to a person who might otherwise be afraid of general rock climbing. We offer two unique via ferrata experiences for all ages and abilities. See more here.
Zip-lining
HCR built the longest zipline in Arkansas, almost a half mile in length and over 200 feet above the canyon floor, with amazing views of the ranch and the surrounding Ozark Mountains. For all ages and abilities. See more here.
Mountain Biking
Experience the new and growing trail system contained within the ranch property. World-class mountain biking for the beginner to the pro. Bring your own mountain bike, or rent one from us - we offer a wide variety of e-mountain bike rentals for all sizes, giving a rider the ability to adventure all day long on the trails, winding through house size boulder fields, with views of the mountains, over running streams, and exploring the entire ranch property on two wheels. See more here.
Canyonerring
The boys can choose to go Canyoneering at Shop Creek. It's one of the area's amazing slot canyons and will impress even the most experienced canyoneering buff. See more here.
Eye of the Needle
This stunning hike up Indian Creek begins at Kyle's Landing and follows a series of trails to reach the creek bed. A use trail alternates between the banks and the creek itself, winding past obstacles, water-sculpted rock formations, and small waterfalls. See more here.
